Graduation and Promotion Requirements

If your child does not meet grade level goals in reading and or math, he/she may not be promoted at the end of the school year and may be assigned to the summer school program. Student work will be graded against a rubric (a clear set of standards which informs students beforehand of what must be done in order to achieve the highest grade possible).  Below are the grade level goals for promotion:

Kindergarten

1st-4th Grades

O = OUTSTANDING
S  = SATISFACTORY
N = NEEDS IMPROVEMENT
A = 90 – 100 (EXCELLENT)
B = 80 – 89 (GOOD)
C = 70 – 79 (FAIR)
D = 65 – 69 (PASSING)
F = 64 and below (FAILING)
